Experience
I graduated from the “Universidad Austral” of Chile in 1999. After a few years working in Chile, I moved to Canada to do a Residency in Orthopaedics and Soft Tissue Surgery at The Surgical Referral Practice of Toronto (2006-2007). In 2009, I was awarded the Small Animals Orthopaedics Specialist Degree following a year studying at the “Universidad Complutense” of Madrid (Spain).
Afterward, I moved to Tenerife to work as Head of Orthopaedics for a group of seven practices/hospitals on the island.
In 2010, I went to Barcelona, and after a year, I set up a mobile referral orthopaedic and soft tissue practice called VETCIRUGIAS, working with many clinics and charities in the greater Barcelona area.
In March 2015, I became a member of the RCVS and I came to the UK to work for Elwood, Briggs & Turner as a second orthopaedic surgeon.
I soon moved closer to London to work as Head of Orthopaedics for Best Friends Veterinary Group, where I worked until 2017. Since then, I have been working as a peripatetic orthopaedic surgeon for some of the biggest veterinary groups in the country, like IVC and Vets4pets, but also for a few independent clinics.
